Hi Friend,
I am excited to invite you to join me for the Women’s Self-compassion and Yoga Retreat from June 29th to July 2nd, 2023. This retreat includes six meals, five yoga and meditation practices, guided mindfulness hikes, and two women’s circles. The theme is “Self-compassion – Beginning anew.” The intention is to reconnect and learn to treat yourself as if you are your own best friend. Imagine your best friend came to you with heartbreak, how do you show up for him/her? Can you show up in the same way for yourself? When you are truly your own best friend, you will show up a true friend to your loved ones and others. You will learn self-compassion and self-discovery, build stronger relationships with other women, and nature, and find yourself again.
Our retreat will begin with an evening Yin Yoga class on Thursday, June 29th, at 5 pm. Check into the Glacier Campground at your leisure. For those of you who live in West Glacier or have a place to stay in Montana, we have a pricing option for you that does not include lodging. The Glacier Campground is conveniently located in the heart of Glacier National Park. Gives you the perfect location for exploring the surrounding area and Montana throughout the weekend. Check out a few places to see here.

Take ownership of your experience
Each day will include some free time for you to do your own adventuring and exploring and settling in. Since this is a four-day retreat, we don’t want to overwhelm you with too many activities. The intention is to slow down, be still, and reflect. On Thursday and Saturday, we have Women’s circles, on Friday we will have a workshop and on Sunday we have the closing ceremony.
Women’s Circle: “Self-compassion – Beginning a new”
The intention of this retreat is to focus on self-discovery and self-awareness, which includes self-compassion, self-care, and slowing down practices. Let go of any expectations that you have of yourself and others and just accept who you are now. Reconnect with your true self and inner child.
Workshop: “Cultivating Curiosity and Resilience”
“Resilience is the ability to overcome adversity.” Brene Brown
Yenly lost both her beloved brother and brother-in-law over a year ago. She lost her beloved mother nine years ago. One of her greatest strengths is resiliency and curiosity. She is open and eager to share with you about her experience of hopelessness, failures, and how she did not give up and instead overcame the feeling of hopelessness, anxiety, and sadness. She transformed her losses and challenges into a positive experience through helping and making a difference in the lives of others. She took ownership of her life and let go of the victim mindset.
This workshop will teach you practical tools and resources that will be beneficial to facing your own past, current, and future challenges in life.
Guided Mindfulness Hike:
You’ll get to meditate while on hikes while surrounded by the fresh forest and mountains. You’ll get to explore and learn about trails and hikes within the West Glacier area.
Mindfulness and Community Service Practices:
We are all searching for a sense of connection and the community. Each day of the retreat, you will be paired up with a new sister to spend time getting to know each other through active mindfulness practices. This community support and team building allow you to connect with like-minded women and yourself, and to gain a feeling of accomplishment by getting something done and giving back to your sisters and your community. As a result, you’ll improve your communication and team-building skills, self-awareness, and confidence. You’ll get to express your gratitude and appreciation through prepping, cleaning, washing, and cooking during mealtime and throughout our practices together. Thank you so much for committing to a clean and safe space for our practice together.
Food: “All are welcome – Vegan, Vegetarian, and Meat Friendly”
Your belly and your thirst will be well taken care of all weekends because no one wants a hungry belly. The retreat includes Brunch and Dinner, which includes six meals throughout the four days. You will learn to make your own Spring Rolls and Pho!
Feel free to bring your favorite beverages and snacks either for yourself or to share. From Yenly’s experience, she notices quick bonding and friendships when you share food and drinks. In her culture, food brings people together (sharing is caring).
